This year we lead a “Service Learning Trip” to Nueva Victoria with the UU College of Social Justice. Seventeen volunteers helped build three more classrooms in the village. We went to Nueva Victoria two years ago and helped construct three classrooms, which was the first permanent building in the new community. Our group moved school construction materials, painted both schools, prepared cornfields for planting and many became very familiar with the weight of adobe bricks.
We visited the school we built last year, with ASESI, for special needs children. It was exciting to see the finished school which now has thirty-two students.
